Questions & Answers
Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I have obtained multiple dismissals of various criminal charges over the past two years. It's hard to pinpoint one since they all help keep my clients' individual criminal records clean.
How did you build a successful practice?
Responsiveness, being personable and empathetic, not being afraid to try a case, and most importantly being prepared and knowing the law.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Quality over Quantity. Many people go after flash or glitz of high volume practices and receive subpar legal work from first year associates. I think people should sit down with any potential lawyer and see just how involved he or she will be in the disposition of their case.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Extremely.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
General basics as to what the law is, and my office address and times for a consultation.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
Legal issue, position, expected resolution.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I have a myriad of experience and CLE hours, I directly handle every case on my docket and don't have others do my work for me. I am always available to my clients, and I take pride in providing world class service to every one of them.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
1) Helping clients solve their problems, and achieving the desired results.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
Outdoors, firearms, and the arts.
Are you involved in your community?
Yes. Austin Interfaith, ACDLA, Hispanic Bar, and active member in Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
