Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Gormally was an attorney at a Manhattan law firm where he worked on complex litigation on matters dealing with hedge funds, multinational corporations, international banks, global oil and gas companies as well as a sovereign nation.
Before beginning his career in private practice, Mr. Gormally served as a law clerk for the Honorable Gerald L. Rushfelt of the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas. His service in the Chambers of Judge Rushfelt followed a clerkship with U.S. District Judge Thomas L. Ludington in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Gormally served in the Young Leaders Program in the Ed Meese Center for Legal and Judicial Studies at the Heritage Foundation in Washington, DC. While at Heritage, John had the opportunity to work on projects encompassing a variety of public policy issues.
Mr. Gormally received his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law and his B.A. from Georgetown University, where he was on the varsity football team. Prior to beginning his legal career, Mr. Gormally worked in the medical device industry.
