About John
John Nojima earned his Bachelor degree (summa cum laude) in Business Administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills, where he was the Outstanding Graduate of 1987. Mr. Nojima was a California Finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship and earned an NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship. He was also named the Woody Hayes Award winner as the NCAA Male Division II Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 1987, and was captain of the Men's Basketball team. Mr. Nojima earned a Masters in Business Administration with a dual emphasis in Finance and Marketing from Loyola Marymount University in 1989. He received his Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University in 1992.
Mr. Nojima practiced in the Los Angeles office of the large litigation firm Callahan, McCune & Willis, LLP from 1992 through 1997, where his civil litigation practice concentrated on cases involving personal injury from the defense and plaintiff perspective, real estate disputes, product liability, and employment law. Thereafter, Mr. Nojima was the Litigation Partner at Casale Coffee Nojima, LLP in Los Angeles.
Mr. Nojima has continued his litigation practice as a partner with Lederer Nojima LLP. Mr. Nojima now devotes his practice solely to the representation of individuals and companies in personal injury cases and business disputes. He has secured millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts on behalf of his clients against insurance companies, major corporations, and governmental agencies in matters ranging from catastrophic personal injury cases involving automobile accidents, premises liability cases, product liability cases, wrongful death matters, and dog/animal attacks to major business and contractual disputes.
Mr. Nojima also maintains a sports law practice and has negotiated contracts for professional basketball players, professional basketball teams, and leagues worldwide, including being named U.S.A. General Counsel for the JBL, Japan's professional basketball league, and counsel for the Long Beach Jam of the ABA, the American Basketball Association. Mr. Nojima is an active member of the State Bar of California, Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Consumer Attorneys of California.
