Questions & Answers
Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
Every case is different, there are no two alike. I think filing chapter 13 reflects the most change on a daily view. Many people have high car payments, owe back taxes besides additional debt such as credit cards, medical bills and money loans. Chapter 13 helps people reduce their payments on cars, furniture and taxes and discharges the unsecured debt. An individual or families can have one consolidated payment for everything, making life affordable and given the opportunity for a fresh start.
How did you build a successful practice?
In this day and age spend as much time at work as we do at home. My staff and myself included, make it a point to ensure our clients feel welcome and feel like a part of our family. Bankruptcy is a big decision and we want to ensure that the clients feel confident that they are making the right decision before they file.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
I think clients should look for someone personable and someone they feel confident can take the case successfully through the end without issues.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
It is extremely important to keep up with ever changing laws in regards to bankruptcy.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
We do a free consultation by phone and in the office. An individual can expect all of their questions be answered regarding differences between chapter 13 and chapter 7. We will complete a household budget and review a credit report.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
2 months recent pay stubs or income information. 3 months recent bank statements. Most recently filed tax returns.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I can only go by what our clients have said to us over the years. We are personable, friendly and informative and very thorough.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
I love hearing clients say that they feel like huge weight has been lifted off of their shoulders, and why had they not come in sooner.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
I like to golf and run. I love family time and I love my practice and clients and what I do for a living. Giving back to people is rewarding.
Are you involved in your community?
I work for myself and have two kids in college. I do try and participate and give to local events and charities as often as possible.
