About John
John L. Valentine is a shareholder in the firm and has been employed with the firm since 1976. He has received an "AV" rating in Martindale-Hubble and is a Fellow in the American College of Trusts and Estate Counsel. Mr. Valentine has also served as an adjunct professor of law at Brigham Young University and is a certified mediator with Utah Dispute Resolution.
Mr. Valentine has served in the Utah Legislature since 1988, first as a member of the Utah House of Representatives, and presently as a Utah State Senator. He is presently the president of the Utah State Senate.
Mr. Valentine's practice areas include federal and estate taxation, estate planning, contract and business practice. He received his Bachelor of Science in accounting and economics in 1973 and his Juris Doctor in 1976, both from Brigham Young University.
