About John
John is a partner in the law firm of Hickey & Evans where he first began practicing law upon graduation from law school in 1984. His practice areas include probate, local government law and a trial practice. He has a Martindale BV rating.
John is married and has seven children and three grandchildren, with more grandchildren on the way. He enjoys Wyoming's rugged outdoors and is an avid hunter, fisherman and photographer. He has authored two novels, Pioneer Parables and Varmint Hunter.
For many years he was the piano player for a local children's choir and he also spent many summers coaching girl's softball teams. John played for two summers on the Junior PGA golf tour, when he was in High School. He also acquired a pilot's license while in High School.
John's interest in litigation first began while competing on Cheyenne Central High School's cross examination debate team. He particularly enjoys his litigation practice where he is able to intertwine his legal skills with his psychological training.
