The primary focus of Jon's work is with personal injury and medical malpractice clients, with an emphasis on complex litigation in these arenas. He has helped achieve outstanding recoveries for many victims of catastrophic injuries and survivors (in death cases). Jon works with experts on a regular basis in many fields including engineering, medicine, biomechanics, economics, vocational/employment, and psychiatry.

Highlights of some of Jon's accomplishments include:

  • A greater than seven figure award in an vehicle accident case for the passenger who had limited physical injury but a devastating closed head injury
  • A recovery in excess of a million dollars for a 47 year old laborer severely injured in an unshared trench that collapsed
  • A large award for a 61 year old woman with a mammogram that was misread, eventually causing her untimely passing
  • A substantial recovery for the family of a 28 year old who died of Hodgkins disease due to a misdiagnosis of cancer;

    Jon has been a partner at the firm for over twenty years. He was invited to become a partner just two years after being hired as an associate attorney. Before that time he worked for a Center City law firm that hired him immediately upon his graduation from Temple University School of Law in 1981, after serving there as a law clerk during his law school tenure. In his early years as a practicing attorney, Jon litigated personal injury, commercial, and discrimination cases.

    Jon is a distinguished graduate of Binghamton University (Class of 1978, with Highest Honors). His academic career included an internship in Washington DC and membership in Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Sigma Alpha and Editor of the yearbook.

    Upon graduating from Temple University School of Law in 1981 he joined a Center City law firm for whom he had served as a law clerk during law school. In the initial years as a lawyer he litigated personal injury, commercial and discrimination cases. He joined Solomon, Berschler in 1984 and became a shareholder in 1986.
