Please describe a case(s) in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I was able to get a DUI dismissed on a very bad DUI with injury case where the passenger suffered a big cut on her forehead. Due to an intense look into the evidence on the case and errors made by the officers that I found the prosecutor offered to allow the defendant to plead to reckless driving and dropped the DUI.
How did you build a successful practice?
The most important part of my practice is taking care of my clients. I have never worried about how many clients I have, but how I take care of the clients I have. When you take care of people and are easy to communicate with more people seek your legal help.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Clients should look for someone who is easy to communicate with, has an obvious online presence with abundant good reviews, and someone they trust. Choosing an attorney based on how big the firm is or other face-value reasons will lead to a poor connection with your attorney and dissatisfaction with their representation.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Local knowledge is paramount to good legal work on a case. Especially in criminal law an attorney who knows the prosecutors and Judges will have a much better chance at negotiating a case and reaching an early and good resolution.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
I can provide simple information about your criminal case, such as your charges, and preliminary advice on what to do and not do when it comes to speaking to witnesses and police officers.

I need a name and birthday for a criminal case and an alien number for an immigration case.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I'm in this business for the people I represent. I went into law because of good and bad things that have happened to my friends and family. I always wished I could do more for them and now I can.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
I love to see my clients feel calm and satisfied with the results in a case. A big reason people hire an attorney is because of how daunting the legal system can be. Even just a simple phone call to a client that sets them at ease is rewarding.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
I'm an avid snowboarder, hiker and mountain biker. I moved to Utah from Southern California because of the outdoors and I try to make the most of it when I can.
Are you involved in your community?
Yes, I'm on the board of directors for a local non-profit called Flourish Ventures that trains and employs people coming out of criminal justice system to help them stay out of it. Its a very rewarding position. Also the baked goods Flourish makes are amazing!
