About Jose
Jose is a 4th generation Tampa native of Cuban heritage. His paternal grandmother rolled cigars in Ybor City while his paternal grandfather repaired WWII warships in the Port of Tampa Bay. Maternally, his grandmother was an early childhood educator while his grandfather was a dentist. Jose's mother was a microbiologist and his father was both a chemist and a small business owner. Jose was educated at Christ the King Elementary, Jesuit High School, University of Florida, University of South Florida, and Mercer University. He is married to Martha who is an early childhood educator and has two daughters and a step-son. He is dedicated to his family and his career so does not have much time for hobbies, but enjoys occaisional boating, fishing, biking or golfing.
