About Joseph
Joseph P. Guzzardo received his B.A. with distinction from the Kutztown University in 2001. He graduated from the Temple University School of Law in 2004.
Following law school, Mr. Guzzardo worked as an associate for a respected defense litigation firm in Philadelphia where he practiced general civil defense litigation in the areas of premises, construction and professional liability as well as complex insurance litigation subrogation matters. His practice included the defense of many large real estate investment trust clients in connection with allegations of civil engineering defects relative to access road, parking lot and pedestrian walkway designs, many of which involved serious injury or death.
Mr. Guzzardo has extensive experience in jury trials and case settlements, having successfully obtained several defense jury verdicts, and having negotiated numerous six-figure recoveries in subrogation matters. He also has substantial experience in the appellate arena, including civil and administrative matters.
Mr. Guzzardo joined Powell Trachtman in 2009, where he focuses his practice on the defense of design professionals and construction litigation. Mr. Guzzardo is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
