Before law school, Joshua attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas and earned his Bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurship. Joshua enjoys playing soccer, snowboarding, and hanging out with his wife and dog in his spare time.

Boarder Crossing Drug Smuggling
Client smuggled over 50 kilos of meth and other drugs in his car crossing from Mexico into the United States via the San Ysidro boarder crossing. After client was sent to secondary, an x-ray revealed anomalies in client's vehicle. Client faced more than 15 years in custody. Client hired me to fight on his behalf. After review of the evidence and hard negotiation with the district attorney, I was able to secure a very favorable deal for my client of four years custody at half time and no supervised release.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Clients should look for an attorney they trust. An attorney who will be upfront with them and can answer their questions. An attorney who is willing to communicate with them, answer phone calls, and follow up. I take calls after hours and over the weekend. I try and make myself available for my clients whenever they need me so if they ever have a question or concern, they can reach out to me by email, phone, and even text.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Knowledge is important, but what is more important is knowing how to figure out the answer and the best way to move forward with a case. Every case is unique and all facts need to be scrutinized in order to figure out the best path to reach the best outcome for the particular individual involved.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
Information regarding the legal process, best steps moving forward, and, after gathering all the facts, I can usually quote a price. Many attorneys will waste an individual's time and require him or her to come into the office before quoting a price. Even if someone is not interested in hiring an attorney, I can at least give some advice for what they can expect with their case moving forward and how to proceed when going to court.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I make myself available to speak with my clients. Many attorneys do not make the time to speak with their clients or answer all of their questions. With me on your side, I make the process easier by informing you of everything going on in your case and do not leave you wondering what is going on.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
My other interest include playing soccer, snowboarding, playing with my dog, and hanging out with my wife.
Are you involved in your community?
I volunteer a few times a year helping indigent individuals with their legal issues. It is very rewarding to help people that do not know who to turn to.
