About Joshua
Joshua E. Kelne is an experienced attorney who is passionate about delivering positive outcomes for clients who are facing some of the most difficult times in their lives. Before joining the Heekin Law, he worked as a Senior Attorney at another local Family Law firm. In following his passion of providing a voice for children and families, Joshua served as a volunteer for the Jacksonville Area Legal Aid and served on the Board of Directors. Prior to his practice as an attorney, Joshua served as a lawyer in the U.S. Navy. In this capacity, was as the Deputy Judge Advocate for Navy Region Southeast located at Naval Air Station Jacksonville and the Staff Judge Advocate for Naval Station Mayport. Joshua has handled cases dealing with the dissolution of marriage, paternity, adoption, probate, child support, modifications, and estate planning. He always has his client’s best interest at heart and will go the extra mile to ensure that he is by his client’s side when they need him. Joshua’s extensive family law knowledge along with his talent for helping others, make him a great fit here at Heekin Law, P.A. Joshua completed his undergraduate studies at Iowa State University where he earned a B.S. in History. He was inducted into the Phi Alpha Theta honor society for undergraduate and graduate students and professors of history. He later earned his law degree from University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and was inducted into the International Legal Honor Society of Phi Delta Phi. During his free time, Joshua enjoys sailing, martial arts, home remodeling and spending time with his daughter. He continues to serve as a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy Reserve Judge Advocate General’s Corps.
