One that stands out involved a young man with catastrophic injuries resulting from a bicycle accident. The client was struck by a truck that was entering a driveway. I saw to every aspect of his case and worked in tandem with our trial team using every resource available. That included the use of medical and technical experts. On the day of the injury, I visited the client in intensive care at the hospital and then later in rehab and assisted in overseeing his medical care. The client had no one else in the United States to look after him except for his devoted brother. I spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on case costs and experts to prepare the case for trial. After much litigation and defense denials of accountability, in 2018 we ultimately resolved the case for $10.5 million dollars, just short of trial. I am very glad and pleased that this deserving client and his devoted, humble and caring brother saw justice served in the end.
