About Jonathan
I am a Board Certified lawyer. I have been practicing law since 1989. I have tried cases in 26 different counties. I personally work on the cases. I have seven great legal assistants and one lawyer, J.J. Bragg, who works with me.
I grew up an Army Brat. My father was a Chaplain in the U.S. Army for 30 years. My mother was a school teacher. I lived in many places growing up, including New York City, Bamberg, Germany, Colorado Springs, North Carolina, Stone Mountain, Georgia, Pasadena, California.
My mother, Gerry Juhan, was from Beaumont, Texas. My grandfather worked at Mobil for more than 30 years. We moved back to Texas during my sophomore year of high school. I graduated from South Park High School in 1982. I went straight to Lamar University. I graduated from Lamar in 1986. I went straight to South Texas College of Law, located in downtown Houston. My daughter Jessica was born during law school I graduated from law school in 1989. I have been in private practice since 1989. I started my own law firm in 2003.
My daughter Jessica is married and she has three wonderful daughters, Madeline, Mackenzie, and Mallorie.
I am married to Angelica Juhan. She works at the Federal Bureau of Prisons. She has three children, Christopher, Desi, and Ale'. Christopher is on his own and Desi and Ale live with us and attend Kelly High School.
I love practicing law here in my hometown of Beaumont. I am truly blessed in every aspect of my life.

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I truly believe I make a difference in every case. My clients have all been harmed by the negligence of another. Insurance companies and corporations never take responsibility for their actions. My team and I have to fight to get the recovery my clients deserve. In most cases we have to help our clients get medical treatment. After treatment we send a demand to the carrier. They usually fight. Many times we have to file suit and fight them in Court. I love helping people. I have a wonderful staff.
How did you build a successful practice?
My father was a chaplain in the U.S. Army. I always knew I wanted a profession that helped others. I love the law and love helping clients and fighting insurance companies. I always do the right thing for my clients. I get great settlements or verdicts and then get the medical reduced and get great recoveries in my client's pocket. I will always work hard to make things right.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Clients should look for a local lawyers who is Board Certified. In addition the lawyer must be tough on insurance companies and corporations, but super nice, respectful and thoughtful to his clients. I know I am both 100% of the time.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
It is critical a person gets a lawyer who lives where they live. A local lawyer will know the local judges, local juries and will be able to get local doctors to help. To our of area lawyers a person is just a number that they will, more than likely, never see face to face.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
On a free phone consultation I can find out a little about the case, but I get much more information on a face to face meeting with my clients.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
Date, time, place of the crash. Where the police were called. How much damage to vehicles. Was there an ambulance. Was the person treated at the emergency room, etc.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I have been practicing law since 1989. I live and am from Southeast Texas. I work super hard. I work 12 hours day. I personally meet with my clients. I always put my clients first. Most of my new business if from referrals from old clients. I love to win.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
Truly helping those who need it most. It is very rewarding.
Are you involved in your community?
Yes. My wife and I are very involved in many aspects of our community. We volunteer our time at many charitable events and I coach sports. We love Southeast Texas and will always be here.
