About Kate

Kate F. Marks became an attorney with Stack & Associates, P.C. in August 2006 after enjoying a clerkship with the firm in the summer of 2005.  Much of her work consists of litigating water pollution and stormwater runoff cases and administrative appeals.  Ms. Marks co-authored Counting Heads After Rapanos: Deciphering the Effects of a Fragmented Decision on Clean Water Jurisdiction, which was published in the Winter 2007 Newsletter for the State Bar of Georgia Environmental Law Section.  Ms. Marks graduated in 2006 from the University of Alabama School of Law.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Virginia, where she was an Echols Scholar, an honor given to exceptional incoming first year students.   She is actively involved with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation providing pro bono services as a Guardian ad Litem in child custody disputes and as counsel in other matters.  Ms. Marks is a member of the Georgia Bar and the Alabama Bar.  She is admitted to the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Northern District Court of Georgia, the Middle District Court of Georgia, the Southern District Court of the Georgia, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
