About Kathleen

Kathleen Rogers is an associate attorney in the Insurance Defense practice group at Smith Bigman Brock. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in 2009. Ms. Rogers graduated from Stetson University College of Law, earning her Juris Doctorate in 2013. During law school Ms. Rogers earned a highest-grade award for Health Insurance. Additionally, she was selected as a Teaching Assistant for Civil Procedure in recognition of her academic accomplishment. She served as the Reform Chair for the Innocence Initiative student organization, participating in investigations of claims of actual innocence for those claiming wrongful conviction under the direction of a supervising attorney. She worked with the Reform & Education Division, Education Chair, organizing educational events for the community and the student body. These events included presentations by individuals who have been released from the criminal justice system by the Innocence Project for wrongful incarceration. Prior to and since graduating from law school, Ms. Rogers interned, clerked and worked in the insurance industry, both in private insurance defense practice and, later as in-house counsel for an insurance company.
