About Kathy
Kathy B. Small, Esq. is a co-founding member of the firm and has more than 29 years of experience as a litigator. She concentrates her practice in matrimonial/family law and child custody matters, where she has amassed extensive experience and has had numerous trials. She also handles personal injury matters. Kathy Award imageKathy is a mediator in matrimonial disputes and earned the distinction of being selected by the Court for inclusion in a pilot project of the Suffolk County Supreme Court’s Mediation Project for Certified Court Mediators. She is appointed by the various justices of the Suffolk County Supreme Court to represent children and advocate for their special needs in matrimonial and family law matters. She is a former Assistant County Attorney for the County of Suffolk where she defended the County in personal injury litigation. She is admitted to practice in New York State and Connecticut. She is a member of the Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association and is a member of its board of directors and the former Chairperson of its Negligence and Torts Committee. Kathy is also a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association and served on the Judicial Screening Committee. In 2016, Kathy received the President’s award from the Suffolk County Bar Association for her participation on a the Attorney for the Children Task Force.
