About Kennedy
It certainly is true that many people look down upon personal injury attorneys as simply opportunists who want to take advantage of a person in a bad situation. However, ask any of my past and present clients what they think, and I believe they will all tell you that without my representation or my firm’s representation, they would not have had a chance.
People do not realize that the law of personal injury and wrongful death is extremely complicated and full of legal pitfalls and technicalities. There is nothing straightforward about any personal injury case. Each case is different based upon the facts and circumstances. many factors come into play when representing injured clients, and a full knowledge of all the possible ramifications that could occur in any one case is absolutely important.
I must say that it is an extremely rewarding experience once a case has been pursued to completion and the client is grateful for the result. I certainly cannot guarantee that all of our results are 100% satisfactory to the client. We sometimes lose, but we are more often successful in obtaining a favorable result for our client. A successful outcome is also very rewarding when one realizes that you are up against high powered and well funded insurance carriers and corporations that can outspend you 10 to 1. Therefore, one needs the knowledge of the law, as well as an aggressive attitude in order to overcome such obstacles.
I have practiced personal injury law for over 30 years. During that time I have learned a great deal about the law, how to succeed and how to obtain a successful outcome for an injured client.
The philosophy of our law firm is clear, in that we have built a firm dedicated to personalized and family-oriented principles, in which the client will always be represented by an attorney that they can talk to, meet with, and feel comfortable with. The key to any successful attorney/client relationship is trust. We feel we have earned the trust of thousands of our clients whom we have represented over the years.
If you are looking for a conglomerate firm with hundreds of lawyers, you probably will not want to consult with Legler & Flynn. However, if you are interested in speaking with an attorney one on one, as well as a community oriented organization that has been around the Manatee/Sarasota area for over 20 years, then you may want to speak with one of our attorneys.
Please feel free to contact me for a free and no obligation consultation and case review.

Questions & Answers
Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
One of our clients was hurt very badly in a motor vehicle accident. Despite the fact our client was issued a traffic citation, we knew our client did nothing wrong. We went to court and proved the other driver was negligent. Our client received a substantial recovery, and has since referred several people to our office for representation.
How did you build a successful practice?
By listening to our potential clients, rather than doing all the talking. Also, by keeping our client's up to date on the progress of their case. Communication and keeping up with a client's medical condition and treatment on a regular basis, allows us to be informed on our client's continuing injuries, and how they are being cared for by their medical providers.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
A client must respect and trust their attorney. A client must also feel comfortable with their attorney, and not hesitate to confide in their attorney. Always ask an attorney how often the client can expect to receive updates on their case, and confirm with the attorneys that calls from the client are welcome.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Attorneys that practice only locally have a big advantage over even large firms that practice in many different cities or counties. Local attorneys know the judges, the court procedures and other attorneys in the area, that is of great assistance in trying and settling cases.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
A free, no obligation phone consultation can provide all necessary information to advise the client of the legal issues in one's case. The approximate cost of bringing the case to court, if necessary, can also be discussed, and our attorney's fee for representing the client will be discussed as well. All questions will be attempted to be answered.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
We just basically need a description of how the client was injured, a description of the injuries, any pre-existing injuries and why the client believes there was negligence that caused the injuries.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
We have been practicing in this area for over 30 years, we have successfully represented thousands of clients over the years, and we have an excellent reputation in the community. We have recovered for our client's over the years, millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts. We offer one on one representation for all our clients as well.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Helping clients that without our representation would not have a chance against the big insurance industry. Many of our injured clients would not be able to economically survive due to their injuries and inability to work, without our efforts to get them fair compensation.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
I enjoy competitive sports of all kinds, reading about history, family gatherings and traveling.
Are you involved in your community?
Very active in community projects, sponsoring local youth sports, Heart Association, Medical/Legal Association, Healthy-Teens Coalition and moot court.
