Garrett is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, its Social Security and Worker's Compensation sections, the Grand Rapids Bar Association, and both the Western and Eastern Michigan Districts of the United States District Court. He also is an accredited attorney with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Garrett is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives (NOSSCR) and a member of the Michigan Association for Justice. Garrett enjoys the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, softball, movies, singing, and running. He is a member of both the First Congregational Church of Rockford and Tachanuwnah International Ministries.
