About Kevin
Kevin joins Maier Gutierrez & Associates as an of counsel contract attorney specializing in medical malpractice, personal injury, general liability, product liability, and business litigation. Before joining the firm, Kevin was an attorney at a prominent national defense firm specializing in healthcare law and defending medical malpractice cases. Based on Kevin’s past interactions with Maier Gutierrez & Associates, he was familiar with the firm’s quality of work, attention to detail, and caliber of courtroom advocacy. Kevin points to these factors as the reason for joining MGA.
After graduating from law school, Kevin served two years as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Kenneth C. Cory in the Eighth Judicial District Court of Nevada. Kevin also externed for one year for Judge Cory during his 3L year, giving him three years of invaluable courtroom experience and behind-the-scenes insight into the judicial decision-making process. During law school, Kevin served as a law clerk for a reputable employment litigation firm focused on employment discrimination matters and civil rights. Kevin’s experience also includes serving as a law clerk for a multi-jurisdictional practice focused on mortgage, real estate, and fair debt collection cases.
Kevin felt compelled to pursue a career in law primarily due to his experience with his father’s wrongful death/medical malpractice case. His personal experience—in addition to his experience as a defense attorney—allows him to navigate difficult situations delicately and effectively. “Litigation can be stressful for those unfamiliar,” Kevin says, “and I am dedicated to easing that stress through hard work and relentless advocacy so that my clients can focus on healing from their injuries.” Kevin is from Utah and is an avid snowboarder and extreme sports enthusiast. Married to a lovely wife with two boys, he is passionate about music and plays the guitar and drums.
