In general, most issues may be handled conveniently over email and/or by phone. Current and prospective clients wishing to meet in person with Kevin Curran are invited to contact me to arrange an appointment. As a professional courtesy to clients, I typically am able to meet with a client at the client’s facility, to avoid requiring the client to travel.

Welcome! My law firm has two main facets, each having its own focus, and is based in the New York City metro area. Curran Counsel ("CC") is a general legal practice based in New Jersey handling a variety of areas of law, including local litigation in New Jersey courts. Curran Patent Law (“CPL”) is a specialty law practice that focuses on issues involving Intellectual Property (“IP”), assisting clients with identification, protection, management and enforcement of IP rights. CPL deals with the gamut of IP rights, such as rights involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and publicity. In particular, preparation and prosecution of patent applications are central to the CPL practice. Other notable services include trademark and copyright registrations, freedom to operate / non-infringement opinions, infringement analyses, and non-disclosure / confidentiality agreements.
Available IP management consultation services include structuring of corporate IP departments, establishment of global IP best practices, and implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance regarding IP matters.
