About Kimberly
Kimberly Andrade has practiced in litigation since receiving her law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2001. During her judicial clerkship in the Connecticut Superior Court, she assisted trial court judges with legal research and drafting decisions. Following her clerkship, she joined a nationally recognized full-service defense firm, where she litigated a variety of cases including dental malpractice, nursing home negligence, insurance coverage disputes, premises liability and professional malpractice. As a defense attorney, Kim worked with major insurance companies, gaining insights useful in representing injured people and their families.
In law school, Kim participated in health law clinic, where she gained recognition for her outstanding advocacy on behalf of the disabled. In addition to her law degree, she earned a Certificate in Health Law. To her representation of injured people and their families, Kim brings her experience as a registered nurse who provided hands-on care to patients at home, nursing facility, and medical office settings.
"My background as a health professional allows me to understand both the technical and the personal aspects of dealing with injuries and illnesses. My experience as a defense attorney has given me an insight into the tactics and strategies used by insurance companies to limit the amounts they pay on claims. The combination gives me a unique ability to help injured people obtain the compensation they deserve."
