After graduating from UT, Mr. Angel practiced law with a small firm in Knoxville, Tennessee focusing his practice on employment law for employees as well as personal injury and worker's compensation. He returned to his home state to work as a Trial Attorney for the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in the Charlotte District Office. While with the EEOC, Mr. Angel handled litigation and worked on investigations throughout North and South Carolina.
In 2005, Mr. Angel left the EEOC and opened The Angel Law Firm, PLLC. He focuses his practice on employment law for employees and local businesses (employers). He is rated AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell and 10.0 (Superb) by Avvo.com in the area of employment law.

Case: Webb v. K.R. Drenth Trucking, Inc. Summary: Plaintiff sued for wrongful termination and defamation. Plaintiff alleged that he was terminated due to his Workers' Compensation claim. Plaintiff also alleged that Defendant's management provided defamatory references when Plaintiff sought subsequent employment. Defendant moved for summary judgment which was denied. Judge Robert J. Conrad, Jr., U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, presiding. Result: Defendant's Motion was Denied. Case: Shriley Loope vs. Institutional Jobbers, Inc. et. al. Summary: Worker's Compensation case. Trial Court finding in favor of Plaintiff and Defendant appealed to the Tennessee Court of Appeals. Result: Verdict for Plaintiff Affirmed Case: Reed v. Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, 133 F.Supp.2d 1055 (M.D. Tenn. 2000) Summary: Sexual harassment and retaliation case. Employer motion for summary judgment denied.
