About Kristine

Kristine Anderson (formerly Kristine Isle) practices in the areas of family law, criminal defense, and many types of appeals. Recognizing that clients place major life events in the hands of their lawyer, Kristine often reminds her clients that being a lawyer is what she does -- not who she is, and that she is a thoughtful, concerned person above all else. Kristine strives to represent her clients with compassion and respect, because she genuinely cares about them as individuals, seeing each of them as more than just another case.

Her skills as a negotiator often result in resolving cases by agreement, with an outcome that the client truly participates in. However, for matters that either do not warrant settlement or where a satisfactory agreement cannot be reached, Kristine's litigation talent is put to good use in the courtroom, where she advocates for her clients with intensity, clarity, and tenacity. Whether Kristine is handling cases that hinge on a single issue or are comprised of a multitude of complex topics, her clients receive the utmost respect, care and professionalism.

Kristine received her law degree from Hamline University School of Law, where she graduated with honors, and is licensed to practice law in Minnesota. In addition to her legal practice, Kristine serves as a neutral mediator and arbitrator in the family law arena, and has served as a neutral custody evaluator.

Dedicated to quality legal education focused in the areas of legal research, writing, oral argument and appellate advocacy, Kristine spends much of her spare time involved with law students. Kristine served as an instructor and coach for Hamline's National Moot Court program for many years and taught as an adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law and currently at the University of Minnesota School of Law.

In addition to teaching, Kristine is also an active member of the volunteer legal community, providing pro bono or low-cost representation to clients who qualify based on serious financial need who are referred to by her various organizations that she is involved with.

Outside the law, Kristine is often found with her family, working with a youth or community organization, or volunteering for a local school event. On weekends, however, Kristine spends her time at any of several race tracks, working as part of the pit crew and as the marketing director for the Loftness & Anderson-sponsored super late-model stock car team.
