Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

I was able to get sole legal and sole physical custody of a minor child for his father after the Mother made false allegations of sexual abuse. The child was actually claiming abuse to accommodate his mother. The mother had isolated the child from his entire family. Child and Father are now happy together.

How did you build a successful practice?

The majority of my clients are based on referrals. I have always been aware of the fact every client is unique and that his or her situation is important. I have always taken the time to provide our clients with options, and give them what they need to know, not necessarily what they want to know. I don't take case where someone wants to peruse a position that is not in his or her best interest, or is for an improper purpose.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

A client should find a lawyer who will keep them informed and give them options, and not expect the lawyer to dictate everything.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

It is important to have a local lawyer who knows your particular judge. It is important so that a knowledgeable lawyer knows how a particular judge 's pet peeves and preferences on presentation.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

In person consultation is better, and offered 30 minutes free in my office. It is important to bring any documents relating to pending actions. In person is better because communication is only 7 % verbal, and both the prospective client and the lawyer have an opportunity to see if it is a good fit. Not all lawyers and clients are necessarily a good fit.
