Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
Had a Tax foreclosure case in Wayne County which we won due to a through research of the property and tax records and a well written brief. Had a divorce case 16 year marriage with 3 teen age sons. Talked the parties into letting me lead them through the process together where I did all the paper work and told them what they needed to do. The divorce when very smooth with much less cost and mental strain on them and the boys.

Working hard and being honest and friendly to everyone

One who will answer their questions honestly and if he does not know the answer to tell them he does not but will find out.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Since the advent of e filing with each court having its own procedure it is important to know the specific courts procedures.

Depending on the specific information the client has you can usually tell them if they have a case or how to proceed to gather the information they will need to proceed.

If the client has all the documentation need for a complaint that is the best situation.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
Very honest about their case and do not get their expectations up. Also I will return any call or e mail general within 24 hours.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Helping people to feel more comfortable with their problems.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
I am an avid sailor and have been sailing for about 35 years.
Are you involved in your community?
I am involved with Family Assistance Program in Oakland County that provides pro bono service in family law, Service to Solders which provides services to veterans and service men and women. I belong to Oakland County Bar which provides service to the community.
