About Lee
Lee Arter completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Southern California, graduating cum laude in 1970 with a Bachelor Degree in Political Science. Prior to entering the field of law, Lee had a successful career in his family business as a manufacturer's representative, representing major commercial suppliers. Upon graduation from the University of La Verne in 1988, Lee began his practice in personal injury litigation first with Spiegel, Vitabile & Yochelson. The Law Office of Lee Arter was founded in 1992 and currently has a staff of five attorneys and fifteen support staff. Lee has served as a volunteer arbitrator for the Los Angeles County Superior Courts and has extensive experience in mediating and arbitrating his own cases. He has hands-on supervision in the day to day operations of the law offices. He is an exceptional advocate for his clients. He has a published opinion in Amos v. Alpha Property Management, which reversed standing case law in the area of the landowner's liability in the common areas of a dwelling.
Lee is a admitted to practice law in all State Courts of California and the Federal District Court for the Central District of California. He is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles. He is active in various local interests and has a daughter, three sons and two grandchildren. Lee resides in Los Angeles, CA.
