Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
Settled a personal injury case with serious back damage for $1,400,000.00 and my client was very happy. Client had been in car wreck and was very happy to have us represent him in that serious case.
How did you build a successful practice?
My practice started in 1974 and was built through good marketing practices that included referrals, legal insurance plans and very hard work with long hours.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
My clients like the fact that I take the time to listen and remind them that the case is their case, not mine. We are the law firm with a Heart.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
A client should always look to the attorney in the area where the case is to be handled. Local knowledge helps in most cases because the lawyer knows the system and the little differences from other counties or courts.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
A free consultation would consist of finding out what kind of case is at hand, what are some of the problems associated with handling of the case and giving the client a quick synopsis of the possible outcomes. A fee discussion is usually included.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
The telephone consultation is usually for those who just want information. Sometimes we can did deeper into the case if it is personal injury, domestic (divorce), or other matters that can be discussed intelligently over the telephone without having to review documents.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
We are different from other lawyers as my experience is over 40 years with the purpose of helping others. I do not subscribe to most attorneys ""money grubbing"" policies. We listen first and then discuss fees.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
There are two very important aspects of my job 1) Something new every day, 2) I usually help someone with a problem on each case.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
I have written several books: The President is a Spy? Two Years: The Curse and Murder: By Hostage. I am also an avid artist with over a thousand paintings, some are on my Facebook page, others are all around the Country.
Are you involved in your community?
I am a life member of the Optimist Club, I have been president of three Optimist Clubs, President of two Toastmasters Club and am a Master Toastmaster, I have been member of Rotary, multiple Bar associations, many charitable organizations.
