About Leslie
Leslie represents business and employers of all sizes in New York federal and state courts, as well as administrative hearings. Leslie is known for her ability to work with other attorneys and is regularly called on to serve as local counsel in the Northern District of New York for other law firms.
Leslie was the lead counsel for Rowe v. Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., which established that New York funeral directors qualify as exempt professionals under New York law and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Leslie also counsels clients in all aspects of employment law. She has provided both in-person and webinar training for clients on sexual harassment, discrimination, and best practices when faced with litigation and internal employee investigations. She has developed and leads the firm’s training program for employers on understanding and combating inherent bias in hiring and promotions. Leslie also represents physicians and hospitals in medical malpractice actions and before the Office of Professional Medical Conduct (OPMC) and the Office of the Professions.
Leslie has lectured on litigation and labor and employment topics to Chambers of Commerce and the local bar association.
In addition to her busy practice, Leslie is a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Family and Children’s Counseling Services and serves as Treasurer of the Board of the Savoca Hibbitt Resident Artists Foundation. She also serves as a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Leslie’s outstanding record of community service was recognized by the Broome County Bar Association in 2012 when she was presented with the Community Service Award.
Leslie received an “AV” (Preeminent) peer review rating in both legal ability and ethical standards through Martindale-Hubbell. She has been admitted as a fellow to Litigation Counsel of America and has been selected as a Super Lawyer in Employment Litigation Defense.
