Letisha Luecking Orlet's prior experiences include working on asset forfeiture cases at the US Attorney's Office in Fairview Heights, protecting consumer rights while at the IL Attorney General's Office in Carbondale, prosecuting traffic and misdemeanor cases at the St. Clair County State's Attorney's Office in Belleville and researching and briefing personal injury and workers' compensation cases at a private practice in Belleville.  During law school, Letisha volunteered with the Veteran's Legal Assistance Program and assisted veterans in obtaining benefits.
