About Linda
Ms. McGrail Belau is an experienced commercial and civil litigator. She has litigated a wide variety of cases including non-compete agreements, stock purchase breaches, supplier disputes, UCC and contract disagreements, divorces, products liability matters and construction claims. Ms. McGrail Belau has practiced both locally and nationally. She has advised and represented a wide variety of clients—from the small or medium sized business to the Fortune 100 Corporation to the national celebrity. She has helped manage, develop and direct the defense of mass tort claims across the country. She has tried over fifty matters to verdict.
Prior to joining O’Reilly Rancilio, Ms. McGrail was a shareholder at one of the largest firms in Michigan where she practiced for eight years. She was a Macomb County Commissioner from 1997-1999 and an assistant prosecuting attorney in Macomb County from 1999-2001. She also served as Chair of the Utica Charter Revision Commission from 1994-1997. Ms. McGrail Belau was born and raised in Macomb County, giving her very strong roots and a sense of commitment to this community.
Ms. McGrail Belau serves on the Program Council for Leadership Macomb. She is an active member of the Sterling Heights Area Chamber of Commerce and of the Shelby-Utica Kiwanis. She is also a member of the Federal, Michigan and Macomb Bar Associations.
Ms. McGrail Belau graduated from Wayne State University Law School, cum laude, in 1996 where she received the Order of the Coif. She also served as associate and assistant editor of the the Wayne Law Review. She received various awards and recognitions, including the Driker Award for highest grade point in the first year of school. Ms. McGrail Belau received her bachelor of arts from James Madison College at Michigan State University where she majored in International Relations and minored in Japanese.
