LINDA D. PHILLIPS

Linda D. Phillips was born in Nurnberg, Germany in 1953.  Her military family lived all over the United States, but she calls Colorado home, having lived here over half of her life.  Ms. Phillips attended the University of Colorado in the early 1970's and received a bachelors degree in business administration from Regis University in 1999.  She received her J.D. from the University of Denver in 2003.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Ms. Phillips worked in the business community as consumer lender for a credit union, a marketing director for a bank, and a commercial leasing representative for a commercial building company.  She also worked for nine years as a paralegal, including almost five years in the legal department of ICG Communications, a telecommunications company, where she worked with contracts, mergers, corporate formations and real estate transactions.  Ms. Phillips also worked approximately four years with James B. Dean in the early 1990's.

Ms. Phillips began practicing law as an independent contractor and formed Phillips Law Offices LLC in early 2005.  She worked with the Law Office of John H. Licht, an elder law attorney, and with the firm of Dean and Stern in Denver, Colorado.  Her practice centered on general business law (including corporate formations, contracts, commercial real estate, acquisitions, and employment law) and wills and trusts.

Ms. Phillips assisted Ms. Valerie Corzine in writing an article for The Colorado Lawyer, entitled "Long-term Care Ombudsman Records: Confidentiality for The Frail and Vulnerable", November, 2002.   She also co-wrote an article with Mr. James B. Dean for the 1993 Western Agricultural and Rural Law Roundup entitled "Selected Current Issues and Considerations Relating to Agricultural Employment".
