LISA M. MCCORMACK was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, on January 16, 1976. Ms. McCormack received her undergraduate degree from The University of Alabama in Huntsville (B.A. 1999) and her law degree from The University of Alabama School of Law (J.D. 2002, cum laude). While in law school, Ms. McCormack earned an Award for Excellent Achievement in the Study of Legal Writing (1999) and an Award for Excellence in the First Year Moot Court Program (2000). She was also the Senior Lead Editor for the Journal of Legal Profession (2001-2002), was elected to serve as Vice President of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity (2001), a member of the Dorbin Society (1999-2002), and a member of the Farrah Law Society (1999-2002).

Ms. McCormack is a member of the Alabama Bar Association and the Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in the State of Alabama and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Alabama.

Ms. McCormack, who is of Guatemalan descent and perfectly fluent in Spanish, is an active member of the Alabama Hispanic Association. She currently serves on that organization's public relations committee and is dedicated to promoting the educational, cultural and economic development of Hispanic families in North Alabama.

Ms. McCormack has litigation experience in both the state and federal courts of Alabama. Her practice focuses mainly in the area of civil litigation, including insurance coverage and practices, personal injury, workers' compensation, professional negligence, breach of contract, fraud, employment discrimination, real property disputes, landlord-tenant disputes, bankruptcy and creditors' rights. Ms. McCormack also has extensive experience in representing financial institutions in transactions involving residential and commercial real property, construction loans, asset-based loans, commercial leases, letters of credit, and other financial vehicles.
