How did you build a successful practice?
My clientele typically come to me through referrals from past clients. The secret to success is really no secret: the more limited a caseload, the more attention a lawyer can give to each client.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Find a lawyer that has vast experience in the type of case
the caller has
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
A lawyer's good reputation amongst the bar, the judiciary
and court staff is a priceless benefit to a person's case
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
I (not an associate, clerk
or receptionist) personally converse with each caller. I
take the time to ask what facts
give rise to the injury, the identity
of wrongdoers, treatment history, and a decision will be made whether I can help.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
Unlike most lawyers, I talk to each caller. If I can't help a person I try to point them in the right direction or person who can help.
If I do accept a case I bring in additional expertise . This doesn't cost the client more but
does benefit them immensely. Most other lawyers are loath to
share a fee but it's the right thing to do.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
I deal in catastrophic injury
and death cases. My greatest professional rewards are when
my cases are able to take a tragedy and restore human dignity.
For instance, if proceeds from a lawsuit fund restorative surgery
so a child can see again, or help a mechanic whose arm was amputated get a prosthetic arm, or pay for 24 hour home-care, retro fit a house and car so an
injured loved one can live at home, or pay for plastic surgeries to repair a horribly burnt victim, or prevent a certain injury from happening to another person, then I feel I am
serving a noble purpose.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
I am a proud wife, mother of three who married three wonderful spouses who have given me 8 grandchildren. I am blessed. When I need a break from hectic, I go to my law office.
I enjoy mentoring law students, teaching leadership
classes, collecting antique silver ritual objects, and being a good
friend.
Are you involved in your community?
My husband and I prioritize service. We are benefactors for various educational institutions, hospitals, tolerance centers, food banks, civic and social service organizations
