John Roach has focused his career on assisting clients involved in complex family law and landlord-tenant disputes. From parents involved in child custody or divorce proceedings to landlords pursuing eviction matters, John has experience providing high-quality representation in a wide range of litigation matters. Prior to founding Roach Law PLLC, John worked as a managing partner of a successful family law, criminal defense, and landlord-tenant law firm in Roseville, Minnesota. John graduated cum laude from North Dakota State University and magna cum laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. During law school, John taught Constitutional Law through the Marshall Brennan program, and served for two years on the Mitchell Hamline Law Review journal. John is currently a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and is listed on the Minnesota Parent-Attorney Roster. In 2021, John was selected to Expertise’s list of Best Divorce Lawyers. John also has the distinction of being selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in both 2021 and 2022. John has a proven record of success throughout his practice as an attorney. Ryan Peterson is a former debt collection attorney turned consumer rights expert and advocate. After graduating from William Mitchell law school in 2008, Ryan opened his own criminal defense firm. In 2010 Ryan joined a Minneapolis-based debt collection firm. There, he quickly learned the nuances of rights and regulations regarding consumers. As time went on, Ryan developed a deep desire to work for consumers - to protect individuals who are wrongly treated, often knowingly, by big business and banking institutions. As Ryan frequently says, he’s grateful to practice law in a way that aligns with his personal beliefs. He values his relationship with clients and strives to partner with each individual to ensure a fair outcome. ​ Like all native Minnesotan, Ryan loves cabin time Up North. He is also a self-described “avid indoorsman” who enjoys cooking, reading, bar trivia, and board games. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife and daughter.
