About Loren
Mr. Scott has practiced in the areas of creditor's rights, bankruptcy, and commercial litigation since graduating from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2002. Mr. Scott began his practice representing primarily lending institutions as creditors in Chapter 7, 11, 12, and 13 bankruptcy cases. Since joining Muhlheim Boyd, Mr. Scott has gained extensive experience in representing debtors in Chapter 7, 11, 12, and 13 bankruptcy cases, with a particular emphasis on representing individual debtors in Chapter 11 as well as bankruptcy trustees in both Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 cases. He has also concentrated his practice on helping financially distressed businesses and individuals pursue non-bankruptcy alternatives through creative financial planning. As part and parcel of that practice, Mr. Scott is proficient in the area of commercial transactions. He has been asked to speak at Oregon State Bar Debtor-Creditor conferences as well as the Lane County Debtor-Creditor section, for which he has served as a chair. Mr. Scott became a principal in the firm in January 2008.
