About Lori

Attorney Lori Beth Leavitt joined Denner Pellegrino, LLP, Counsellors At Law in 2006, and is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, Connecticut and the District of Columbia. She brings to the practice of law legal research skills from her experience as a Senior Judicial Law Clerk for 12 court justices in central and western Massachusetts including Berkshire County, Franklin County, Hampshire County, Hampden County and Worcester County. Her extensive research background includes not only complex legal research but writing memoranda of law, findings, orders, and judicial decisions. In addition, she coordinated internship programs and various other court proceedings.

Ms. Leavitt served as a law clerk for private law offices, as an intern attorney for the Massachusetts Department of Social Services, the Anti-Discrimination Law Clinic of Springfield, the Judge Advocate Generals Corps (JAGC) for the United States Department of Defense in Fort Belvoir, Virginia and the Rhode Island State Internship Program, Public Defenders Office.

As an adjunct professor of law at The Elms College and Bay Path College, Attorney Leavitt has taught multiple legal courses including: Legal Studies I & II, Legal Research and Writing, Advanced Legal Research and Writing and Juvenile Law.

Attorney Leavitt received a JD from Western New England College School of Law with honors for Academic Merit Scholarship and a CALI Excellence for the Future Award for achievement in the study of employment law. She received a BA in English and History from the University of Rhode Island magna cum laude. Attorney Leavitt has served as the elected Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson and Secretary of the New Lawyers Section of the Hampden County Bar Association and as a member of the board of directors of the Hampden County Bar Association. She has served as the elected Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson and as a board of directors member of Hawthorn Services, Inc.
