About Lori
Lori O. Strauss has extensive defense counsel trial experience in the areas of medical malpractice and workers' compensation claims, but she currently confines her practice solely to workers' compensation law. Lori has handled over 1,000 workers' compensation cases to date, many of which being high exposure cases that she successfully litigated. She has represented a large number of hospitals and hotels.
Lori is a frequent lecturer on various aspects of workers' compensation law; she has organized and participated in numerous regional and workers' compensation seminars, including serving as co-chair of the Workers' Compensation Seminar sponsored by the Institute of Business Law.
Lori has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 in the area of workers' compensation. In June 2007, she was named one of the Top 50 Women Attorneys in Pennsylvania by Philadelphia Magazine.
Lori is a 1980 graduate of Rutgers College in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Following graduation from college, she attended Rutgers University School of Law, Camden, where she received her Juris Doctorate in 1983. She served as clinic law clerk to the Honorable Daniel H. Huyett, III, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in 1982 to1983.
Following Lori's graduation from law school, she served as law clerk to the Honorable Jacob Kalish in the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania and Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas in 1983 to1984. She thereafter became associated with Liebert, Short & Hirshland where she was named a partner in 1993. The same year, she joined Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin as a shareholder practicing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Lori is a long-time supporter of Golden Slipper Club & Charities and Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.
