About Louis
For more than 35 years, Lou has assisted insurers in exploring disputed, questioned or fraudulent property claims by conducting thousands of examinations under oath of first-party claimants and sworn statements of third parties. Also, for more than 35 years, he has defended insurers and their employed and independent agents in Texas and Federal courts in first party, bad faith lawsuits arising from property claims, UM/UIM or PIP claims under auto policies and first-party claims for denied liability coverage. His emphasis has been upon insurance fires appearing to be intentionally set, arson fires, staged or inflated thefts, and staged auto accidents. From 1966-1970, Lou served in the U.S. Navy--as have his grandfather, father, and daughter. He is a special insurance defense attorney Invitee and 1992 Graduate of the Department of the Treasury Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms' Arson Prosecutors Course. Other memberships include Dallas Bar Association, American Bar Association, (Member, Law Practice Management Section), and the State Bar of Texas (Member, Consumer Law Section), and The College of the State Bar of Texas.
