About M.
Manly Andrew Lucas was born and raised in Sanford, North Carolina, by parents Manly and Emily Lucas. In 1998 Drew graduated from Lee Senior High School and began his freshman year at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While attending UNC-CH he earned degrees in Economics and in Political Science.
In 2002 Drew enrolled in the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University. While at Campbell Drew served on the Campbell Law Review for two years and had an article published. The article is titled "A Porn Store in Mr. Roger's Neighborhood; Will you Be Their Neighbor? How to Apply Residential Use Restrictive Covenants to Modern Home Businesses", 26 Campbell L. Rev. 123 (2004).
He also was selected to represent Campbell in the 2005 ATLA National Trial Competition in Memphis, Tennessee. Drew graduated Magna Cum Laude from Campbell Law School in 2005. However, his biggest accomplishment at law school was meeting fellow 2005 law school grad and wife, Anna Straughan Lucas.
When he is not working Drew enjoys spending time with his wife, Anna, and playing sports. In 2006 Drew began serving on the Board of Directors of Haven in Lee County, a Non-Profit organization focused on the physical and mental needs of abused and battered women.
Drew was licensed to practice law in North Carolina after passing the 2005 North Carolina Bar Exam. Drew had worked as an intern for Harrington, Gilleland & Winstead, LLP, for two years while in Law School and we are delighted as a firm at his choice to work with us as a lawyer. Drew focuses his practice of law in the areas of Real Estate, Wills and Trusts, Misdemeanor Criminal Law, Business Corporations, Contracts and Civil Litigation.
