Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

Recent case successes include: (a) Won an appeal, with court upholding judgment in favor of client setting aside fraudulent transfers of assets and awarding attorney's fees. (b) settlement of dispute concerning title to real property in Monte Sereno, California; (c) settlement of dispute concerning fraud and breach of fiduciary duty in limited partnership setting.

How did you build a successful practice?

Keeping focused on client's best interests and hard work.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

Honesty, fairness, loyalty, experience.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Local knowledge is a help when navigating through a lawsuit and with being familiar with the subject matter of a case.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

My focus on contracts differentiates my practice. I deal with contracts in my trial/litigation practice and in my transactional/drafting practice. The trial work gives me extra insight into how contracts will be interpreted in court; my court experience gives me extra insight into how best to articulate the language of a contract.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Satisfied clients.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

Skiing, hiking/backpacking, family.
