Ms. Marie S Zawtocki, Partner

Marie Zawtocki (nee Splees) has practiced law in Arizona since 1986. Zawtocki Law Offices, PLLC, was established in 2003 with her husband and law partner Rich Zawtocki. Ms. Zawtocki focuses her practice on family law, juvenile law, and simple probate matters.

Ms. Zawtocki is an active member of the State Bar of Arizona (Family Law Section), the Maricopa County Bar Association (MCBA), the Modest Means and Volunteer Lawyer’s Programs, and the Arizona Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AzAFCC). She serves as a Judge Pro Tem for Maricopa County Superior Court.

In 1986, Ms. Zawtocki graduated from the University of Dayton School of Law. Her undergraduate degree is from the Fairfield University in Connecticut. Her law experience includes Community Legal Services where she worked on cases and issues in public benefits, disability, domestic violence, landlord/tenant, and family law. She also worked for CODAMA on housing and mental health issues. She assisted the Superior Court of Maricopa County in the establishment and expansion of the Self Service Center. Prior to admittance to the Bar, she worked for Wright Patterson A.F.B. legal department in Dayton, Ohio and the DOJ Immigration Court in Newark, New Jersey.

Ms. Zawtocki has been married to Rich Zawtocki and settled in the East Valley in 1986. They live in Chandler. Ms. Zawtocki has current and past affiliations with Seton Catholic High School’s Fine Arts Association, Arizona Cactus Pine Girl Scout Council, Grand Canyon Boy Scouts Council, Catechesis of the Good Shepard, several of the East Valley Catholic parishes, and a variety of sports organizations. She is an advocate for the rights of children, especially regarding foster care, adoption, education, disability, and domestic violence.
