Mr. Itzkoff is Of Counsel at Olsson Frank Weeda Terman Bode Matz P.C. and has been with the firm since 2001. He was born in New York, New York, and received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from the University of Rochester in 1977.  After 11 years as an industrial/regulatory chemist, Mr. Itzkoff received his Juris Doctor degree with highest honors from The John Marshall Law School in 1988.  He was admitted to the District of Columbia Bar in 1989.

Mr. Itzkoff's practice blends together his scientific and legal training.  He is an expert in FDA food compliance issues with particular attention to new food ingredient and food packaging matters.  Mr. Itzkoff assists clients with the determination of GRAS status for new food ingredients and submission of GRAS Notifications.  He also works with clients on the preparation of Food Additive Petitions, and Food Contact Notifications.  He has worked with dietary supplement clients on the determination of New Dietary Ingredient status, the proper labeling of products, Internet claims, and support for new structure/function claims.  He also works with medical device clients on 510(k) and labeling issues.
