About Mark

Mark G. Krum was born in 1956. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Wheaton College in 1979 and his Juris Doctorate from Northwestern University School of Law School in 1983. After law school, Mr. Krum was admitted to the Illinois State Bar and various federal courts, while practicing with a large, national law firm in Chicago. Thereafter, he was admitted to the New York State Bar and additional federal courts while practicing with a large, multinational firm in New York. Mr. Krum joined the Firm in 1989 and became a partner in 1992.

Mr. Krum's practice focuses on securities litigation and corporate governance litigation and counseling. For example, Mr. Krum has represented both management and non-management directors and officers of public companies in all manner of putative securities class actions, whether arising from initial public offerings, periodic disclosures or otherwise. Mr. Krum likewise regularly has prosecuted non-class securities fraud claims arising from a variety of contexts, including mergers, takeovers, restructurings and secondary debt and equity offerings. Mr. Krum also has defended and prosecuted both direct and derivative actions in the context publicly held corporations, private corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships, and has represented special committees and special litigation committees of both public and private corporations.
