About Mark
Los Angeles attorney Mark Russ first joined the Shouse Law Group during his second year at Loyola Law School- Los Angeles. While working a criminal defense case manager and completing course work as a law student, he not only managed to balance his work and his studies but he also found time to train and compete as a student advocate on the Loyola's highly selective Byrne Trial Advocacy Team. Loyola's trial advocacy program ranks among the top ten nationally.
As a result of his work on the Byrne Team, at graduation Mr. Russ took home both of the two top honors Loyola awards for achievement in trial advocacy - the "Honorable William M. Byrne, Sr. Award," named in memory of the famed federal judge from California and the "Excellence in Preparation for Trial Practice Award," an honor given jointly by the Dean of Loyola Law School and the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates.

A longtime Los Angeles resident going back to his undergraduate days at the University of Southern California, Mr. Russ defends clients throughout Los Angeles County on cases that range from minor traffic violations, DUI, and possession of controlled substances to more serious allegations such as domestic violence, sexual assault, and homicide.
Originally a native of Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Russ worked there prior to law school as a
client account manager and project leader for an independent technology firm whose clients included major retailers, energy corporations, and city governments from New Orleans to Jerusalem.
Known to have a "good touch with the clients," Mr. Russ says that communicating with clients is one of the most enjoyable aspects of his work with the firm.
