About Mark
Mark E. Weand, Jr. has been with the Firm since 1965 and was a partner for 36 years.
Mr. Weand is a former President of the Pennsylvania Borough Solicitors Association. The Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs presented him with the Thomas F. Chrostwaite Award in recognition of public service as a municipal solicitor. He has been the Solicitor for the Norristown Borough Zoning Hearing Board, Planning Commission and Civil Service Commission and for the Telford Borough Council, Zoning Hearing Board, Civil Service Commission, Planning Commission, and Sewer and Water Authority. He was also Assistant Solicitor for Ambler Borough.
Mr. Weand graduated from Ursinus College, Collegeville, Pennsylvania, received his LL.B and J.D. degrees from the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and a master of comparative law degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law, Dallas, Texas. He also received a certificate of attainment from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, Institutio de Derecho Comparado, Mexico, D.F. After law school, he served as a judicial law clerk for The Honorable Robert W. Honeyman, Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas.
Mr. Weand was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1963. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas, and the Montgomery County Orphans' Court. He has also participated in proceedings before the judges of the Pennsylvania Environmental Hearing Board.
