About Martin
Martin White is a retired law enforcement officer after completing a 20 year career. During his time as an officer he was assigned to several specialized units including Street Crimes Unit, Motor Unit, Detective Bureau and Special Operations. He was an intoxilizer operator, radar operator and received training in death investigations, DWI enforcement, and Criminal Patrol Drug Enforcement to name a few. During his tenure Mr. White investigated a wide variety of cases, including but not limited to, traffic related charges, narcotics, property crimes and persons crimes including homicides. He rose through the ranks and was promoted first to the rank of sergeant, then later the rank of lieutenant. His experience in law enforcement ranges from the initial responder of an incident up through the detailed investigation and the management of law enforcement resources during critical incidents.
He is also a former state prosecutor in both the 7th and 9th judicial circuits of Florida. As a prosecutor Mr. White has handled a multitude of cases. He has handled cases such as DUI, violation of probation, robbery with a firearm, drug trafficking, battery, assault along with a host of others. He has experience with juvenile, misdemeanor and felony cases and has tried cases in each.
Mr. White is no stranger to hard work. He worked his way through college, taking a full class load while working as a police officer and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida. While still at the police department in Daytona Beach, Mr. White attended law school in Orlando, driving 4 days a week to attend classes and obtained his law degree from Barry University.
Mr. White now utilizes his training and experience to represent clients charged with criminal violations and to represent law enforcement officers who may face internal investigations and possible criminal charges.
