Mr. Levine is the senior member of the firm's real estate department. He represents private real estate developers throughout the United States as well as a number of publicly traded REIT's. In over 30 years or practicing law, he has handled numerous sales and acquisitions of community shopping centers, ""big box"" power centers, regional malls, office buildings and nixed use properties. In addition he has handled a considerable amount of retail leasing activity predominantly on behalf of landlords. Mr. Levine has had considerable experience with development projects from the initial public approval process through construction, leasing and ultimate permanent financing. Certain of his transactions have had values in excess of $500 million with the average transaction in the $5 million to $50 million range. He was also lead counsel in the initial public offering of a private developer into an entity now publicly traded on the NYSE. Currently, Mr. Levine, is heavily involved in the structuring of complicated participation multiple party ventures to maximize value while making sure that all potential tax related advantages are integrated into the final structure.
