About Matt
The Law Office of Matt A. Stockdale, PLLC was started in February 2005. Matt Stockdale started the firm after spending four and a half years as an Assistant Public Defender in Greensboro, NC. He represented thousands of clients and tried hundreds of cases to verdict.
After four and a half years, Matt decided that a change was needed. This firm is the result of much planning and hard work. The firm concentrates on Criminal Defense, Traffic Tickets, Driving While Impaired Offenses, Estate Planning, Business Law (where Matt has significant experience in forming Non-Profit Corporations).
The firm is located in downtown Greensboro at 315 South Greene Street, Suite 200. There is ample public parking near the office at the Greene Street parking deck or next to the Greensboro Visitors' Center.
Matt Stockdale graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2000. He was a member of the Public Interest Law Organization and served as its Treasurer from 1999 until 2000. Before attending law school, Matt graduated magna cum laude with honors from Albion College in Albion, Michigan. While at Albion, Matt was a member of the Gerald R. Ford Institute for Public Service and the Honors Institute. He wrote his senior thesis on the controversial issue of the right to physician assisted suicide. Matt was also a member of the varsity men's tennis team.
