Questions & Answers
Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
We were handling a real estate transaction that went bad and we were able to recover the buyer's deposit through skillful negotiation avoiding a litigation mess.
How did you build a successful practice?
By narrowing my practice to only a few areas of the law we established ourselves as the go to in the area. By always telling the truth, picking up our phones, and timely responding to client and partner requests.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Clients should find a lawyer who listens more than they talk, asks good open ended questions, and offers more than one alternative course of action. Honesty is very important, even when it hurts to hear. A lawyer needs to be comfortable saying no to unrealistic requests and being open minded to exploring creative solutions to seemingly complex matters.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Knowing the local market is very important because business is handled differently throughout the state and what works in one location may not work in another.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
That depends on the inquiry, we can offer a brief introduction to the firm, and a brief Q&A of our services and processes.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
basic contact information and a 2 to 3 sentence description of the matter in which our services are sought.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I tell it like it is (or at least how I see it). I don't hide behind my desk, email or phone. I am transparent about my expertise and the cost of working with me.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
seeing the smile on my client's face(s) after the engagement is finished and receiving thanks throughout the process. Knowing that my advice is relied upon in making big decisions.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
My passion is in making and listening to others make music. I'm also driven by watching my kids grow and coaching others through life challenges.
Are you involved in your community?
yes.
